NOVO Development Updates Their Name to NOVO Properties with Recent Entry Into Third Party Management and the Addition of Three New Senior Executives

NOVO Development updates their name to NOVO Properties, taking immediate effect. This new name better brands the company’s existing divisions of Acquisitions and Development, Historic Restorations, with their newest division of third party property management services.
The NOVO name has strong recognition throughout the Real Estate Development industry with recognized successes in acquiring and restoring historically and architecturally sensitive buildings. In addition to managing their own apartment communities, NOVO Properties will now manage for institutional and private owners as well, drawing upon their industry experience and expertise.
One of the newest additions to the team is, Jeffrey Goldshine- Partner, Management Services. Jeff will be heading up NOVO’s third-party management initiatives including the strategic planning and growth of the management division.
As a multifamily industry veteran, Jeff has been responsible for the management of over 75,000 units throughout his career. Prior to joining NOVO, Jeff served as President of Middleburg Management, Chief Operating Officer of NOVO, as well as the President of Mission Residential Management. Jeff was also vital to the creation and development of the management structures at CAPREIT Inc., and Artery Property Management. Jeff earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from George Washington University and earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Another recent addition to the NOVO team is John Fitzgerald- Partner, Acquisitions. John is a licensed real estate broker in DC, Maryland, and Virginia and has considerable experience in residential and commercial property management. John focuses on acquisition and asset management of investment properties within the Washington, DC and South Carolina markets.
Prior to joining NOVO, John was also General Partner and Director of Property Management for FitzGerald Properties Real Estate Management LLC, where he managed a portfolio of over 510 residential and commercial units with an estimated value in excess of $100 million. John has a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural History from the University of Virginia and Master’s in Business Administration from McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
NOVO is also pleased to announce the addition of Neil Goradia, Director- Acquisitions. Neil brings to NOVO over 10 years of development experience in multi-family and retail development. Neil’s focus is on urban infill development and value-add transactions as well as public/private partnerships.
Prior to joining NOVO, Neil was a Development Partner at the Bainbridge Companies, where he financed, constructed, or renovated over 1500 market rate and mixed-income units in the DC Metropolitan Area. Prior to working with Bainbridge, Neil served in the Office of the Deputy Mayor of Washington, DC. for Planning and Economic Development. He has previously overseen in excess of $1 billion of capital improvement and real estate projects, including several affordable housing projects and community development initiatives. Neil is well versed in finance, development, design, construction, and municipal finance (LIHTC, NMTC, TIF and PILOT). Neil graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor’s degree and has an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
